Rezz the unit onto land.

Click the base to obtain the blue menu. 

For testing it is a good idea to rezz a white prim behind you like a large wall and go into environment “no light” this will show the lights exactly as made, and the shadow on the wall. Of course you can use them with any environment you wish.

Naturally you will need to enable projectors in your settings.
